Testimonials
For anyone thinking about assisted living in the Gulf Breeze, Florida area, seriously consider The Bee Hive Homes of Gulf Breeze. My mother-in-law has been there since its opening in September 2016. It is a family friendly well-run facility. The owners take an active part in the running of the facility and an interest in all of the residents. It is like a large home with a caring staff. It is well appointed, has great home-cooked meals and the residents have all the help they could ask for. We no longer worry about my mother-in-law as we know she is well cared for but also encouraged to be as independent as possible. We feel they are our extended family. For us it is the best of both worlds.

The Beehive is a very happy place! Every timeI enter the community the residents are engaged with one another doing some type of fun activity, whether it be a craft or just sitting down together to enjoy a great home cooked meal!

We have had our mother at the Beehive for 6months. She was at another rehab facility before the Beehive and was very scared to permanently move out of her house to an assisted living facility. The condition and care she experienced at the Beehive far exceeded what she expected and her fears were quickly calmed after moving in. The staff is wonderful and respectful to both my mother and our family. Is everything perfect by no means but compared to the other facilities in the area the Beehive is well above in our families eyes.

What i know about The Beehive is #1, it is one of the best facilities around the Panhandle of Florida because of the tight-knit group home and the atmosphere it revolves itself around. If i had to pick an Assisted Facility for my parents or grandparents, my #1 choice would be there, just because it only holds at this time 16 residents – which also means it would be easier to make friends there.I have also noticed, due to the facility only holding 16 residents- the staff there will have an easier job managing(medications, meals, activities, and just be there for them when needed)From my experience dealing and working with many facilities in my past- The Beehive is top notch in the Assisted Living Arena.

I have had the pleasure of sitting with a resident at the Beehive. I am so beyond grateful that the staff is so attentive with the resident’s needs. They go above and beyond to see to that the residents are their first and foremost priority. I would definitely recommend the Beehive Homes for anyone looking for a wonderful place to live. I have had the pleasure of meeting most of the staff and they are always smiling and never, ever a negative word about the residents and the Beehive.

Many times life throws you unexpected curves. This happened to our family last February 2017 when my father passed away unexpectedly out of state. My mother was unable to live alone any longer. Like most families, we tried very hard to care for her in our home here in GulfBreeze. We quickly saw that even though we could provide her care there was an element of life missing for her other than the loss of her husband. She lacked social interaction and a sense of independence. We were uneasy leaving her alone for more than a couple of hours as we always worried about her safety. We explored different avenues and considered assisted living. Both my husband andI are in the medical profession and knew all too well what type of facilities were in our community and what that meant. I learned about The Beehive from my physician. I made an appointment and went to tour the facility. The sign in The foyer of the newly built Beehive Home in Gulf Breeze read, “Life takes you places but love brings you home“. I never even toured another facility. Mother became a resident in August 2017 and we could not be happier. “The Beehive” is truly a compassionate, loving, interactive, facility that is indeed has a home-like atmosphere. Her caregivers take an individual, caring interest in her and know her likes and dislikes. They cater to her every day. Just the other day she said to me, “I have a lot of friends here. This is really my home now”. What a Blessing Beehive Homes of Gulf Breeze has been to ourfamily.

The Beehive Home of Gulf Breeze provided mother with unsurpassed familial warmth, care, and comfort during her final “golden months.” Mom anticipated with delight her monthly Beehive respite visits with the kind, delightful staff and residents she bonded with in that serene Gulf Breeze home. She regarded them all as her extended family. Sadly, she passed as we were applying for full time residency. The staff provided me and my daughter [mom’s primary caregiver] with thorough reports on mom’s mood and participation in their activities and trips during her regular visits. Moreover, the staff never hesitated to contact me with their concerns or questions regarding mom’s care. I’ve decided that Beehive Homes of Gulf Breeze will someday be my place of residence because its staff and residents emanate the trueHawaiian “Spirit of Ohana.”
