We are a Maryland licensed Assisted Living Home that can accommodate up to five residents in a private or semi-private setting. We are a large enough facility to provide all the amenities that our residents desire but small enough to ensure that they receive excellent care. Although we encourage our residents to be as independent as possible, our caregivers will assist them with as much or as little care as they need. Our country setting provides a serene tranquil back-drop for the residents to enjoy. The families of our residents are thrilled with the quality of care their loved ones receive at an affordable price which won\’t break the families\’ budget.
About Us
We first opened our doors to the elderly in 1998, making us one of the oldest home-based assisted livings in the state. The seeds of Dayspring were planted several years earlier, however, when owner Maryam Mamdouhi began caring for her elderly aunt and uncle. She cared for them for over 10 years. They were so well cared for, that some of her friends begged her to take their parents in as well. Coincidentally, her aunt’s primary care physician also suggested to Maryam that she open her home and care for more people, and in 1998 that’s exactly what she did.
Maryam Mamdouhi is a retired teacher with a background in Economics and Education. She began Dayspring in 1998 with just herself and one caregiver.
