Choosing a reliable care giver for your parent is a very difficult job. What could me more important than the quality of what you select.
I intensively interviewed/ spoke with the 3 options that you offered me. While I was happy with each of the conversations, one service just felt like it would be the best fit for our situation.
The provider that we selected was Senior Assist out of Ellicott City, MD. The owner, Sheila Leaf, is very hands on & responsive. It is apparent from the beginning that this is not just a job to her. She is extremely passionate about her work & providing optimum care & service to the customer.
My moms’ situation was an extremely difficult one to manage, due to family dynamic issues. It was anything but a "normal" or ideal situation. Sheilia, was insightful, intelligent, resourceful, compassionate, and creative in developing a plan to circumvent the obstacles that could have had a negative impact on my mothers’ care. Her 25 years of experience were evident.
Also, her choice of caregivers was spot on. My mother, who was a very picky person, was very pleased with both of her aids. She had excellent care for the duration.
In conclusion, I have to say that my expectations, which were high, were exceeded. I would highly recommend Senior Assist to anyone looking for In Home Health Care services.
